WordPress 7.1 is Out
WordPress released version 7.1. This is a feature release (not a security update) that introduces new features and improvements. Since this is not a security release, updating is optional at this time.

WordPress 7.1 “Mary Lou” is a feature release with new features, usability enhancements, and performance improvements.
This release includes new Playlist and Tabs blocks, enhanced responsive styling options, improved media management, expanded design tools, and a variety of editor and developer enhancements to improve the content creation experience.
Updating to WordPress 7.1 gives you access to the latest features, usability enhancements, and performance improvements, helping you take advantage of the newest capabilities available in WordPress.

The previous version of WordPress was 7.0.4 on August 12, 2026.
